Bolt Pattern Force Distribution
The elastic-method load on every bolt of an in-plane pattern under an eccentric force — centroid, direct shear and the critical bolt's load, straight from the bolt coordinates.
result = maxLoad
The elastic (rigid-plate) method: the direct shear splits equally between the bolts, and the moment from the load offset adds a force proportional to each bolt's distance from the pattern centroid. It's the standard hand-calculation approach for in-plane loaded joints.
No — with equal-size bolts the distribution depends only on the geometry. Compare the max bolt load against your bolt's allowable shear to size it.
